What We Review at an Annual Visit

We agree the work before the appointment. The routine visit combines maintenance that is due with checks of the vehicle's condition.

Checking a component does not automatically include replacing it. Filters, spark plugs, fluid changes and repairs are added according to the schedule, inspection findings and the quote you approve.

Low Kilometres Still Need a Service Plan

A second car or occasional use

Check the time limit in the service schedule even when the odometer has barely moved. Tell us how often the car is driven and when it was last serviced.

Mostly short trips

School runs and short commutes are useful details when planning maintenance. We check whether the manufacturer's operating-condition guidance changes what is due.

Regular long-distance driving

The kilometre limit may arrive before the yearly date. Book at the earlier interval instead of waiting for the anniversary.

An overdue or unknown history

Bring the records you have. We review gaps, inspect the vehicle and explain the priorities before agreeing on additional work.

Plan One Visit Around What Is Due

If the annual date falls alongside a scheduled logbook service, we plan one visit covering the required work. There is no need to book separate services for the same due items.

Provide the registration, current kilometres and last service date, together with any recent filter or fluid replacements.

2. Confirm the work

We check the service requirements, discuss any concerns and provide an itemised estimate for your vehicle.

3. Keep a clear record

The invoice records the work completed. We explain remaining recommendations and the next service due date or kilometre interval.

Allow around two to three hours for many annual visits. We confirm timing for your vehicle, especially when additional scheduled work or diagnosis is required.

What is a yearly service intended to cover?

A yearly service is an annual maintenance visit focused on engine oil and filter replacement when due, routine safety and condition checks, and reviewing what your vehicle needs over the coming year. The final work is based on its service schedule, current kilometres and previous maintenance.

My car has done very few kilometres this year. Is it still due?

It can be. Service schedules specify a time limit as well as a kilometre limit, and the earlier limit applies. Low use does not automatically extend the time interval. We check the schedule for your vehicle, including any requirement for servicing more often than once a year.

Does a yearly service include every filter and fluid change?

No. We check air and cabin filters and review the due dates for fluids and other scheduled parts. Replacements such as spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid and driveline oils are included only when they are due and listed in the agreed quote.

What if a logbook or major service is due at the same time?

We combine the work into one appropriate service for that visit. The manufacturer schedule and the work already completed determine what is due; an annual visit does not replace required logbook items or mean that every major-service item must be repeated.

What should I provide when booking an annual service?

Send your registration or vehicle details, current odometer reading, the date and kilometres of the last service, and any available service records. Tell us about warning lights, leaks, noises or changes in how the vehicle drives so we can plan the visit and confirm the quote.
